Neverness to Everness Gear: Arc Discs and Console Builds
An Arc Disc is a character-specific weapon and the Console is the five-piece gear set — one Cartridge plus four Drive Blocks. This Neverness to Everness gear guide covers both slots: the five disc types, the B/A/S ranks, the level 80 cap with six ascensions, the 2-piece and 4-piece sets, and the stats worth chasing on each role.

What are the two gear systems in Neverness to Everness?
You build two slots: an Arc Disc, which is a character-bound weapon, and a Console, which is a five-piece armor set. They use different materials and different farm routes, so treat them as two separate projects rather than one upgrade track.
| Slot | What it is | Parts | Main farm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arc Disc | Character-specific weapon | One disc per character | Arc Disc ascension domain |
| Console | Five-piece gear set | 1 Cartridge + 4 Drive Blocks | Rabbit Hole |
The practical consequence is simple: a disc cannot be moved between characters, but Console blocks can be re-evaluated and swapped. Spend on the disc for the unit you field, and on the Console for the role you run most.
How does an Arc Disc work?
An Arc Disc is the weapon slot, bound to one character. You do not swap it between units, and a disc built for a support will not carry a main DPS. That makes weapon investment a per-character decision rather than an account-wide one.
| Property | Values | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Type | Aggregate, Solid, Liquid, Gaseous, Plasma | Five design families; the type is tied to the unit's kit |
| Rank | B, A, S | Base stat tier; S is the highest |
| Level cap | 80 | Same cap for every rank |
| Ascensions | Six | One ascension gate every ten levels |
| Ownership | Character-specific | No sharing between characters |
The corpus names the five types but does not publish a per-type stat profile, so the practical rule is to read the disc's own passive rather than assume a type is offensive or defensive.
- Aggregate — the baseline family; treat the passive as the deciding factor.
- Solid — Elyms uses a solid-state disc in v1.5.
- Liquid — no confirmed v1.4 signature in the corpus.
- Gaseous — no confirmed v1.4 signature in the corpus.
- Plasma — Exe uses a plasma disc in v1.5.
How far can you upgrade an Arc Disc?
Every Arc Disc caps at level 80 and passes through six ascensions. Each ascension sits at a ten-level gate, so the practical path is 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and then the final climb to 80.
- Level the carry's disc to the current ascension gate before touching a second unit.
- Ascend at every ten-level gate; do not sit at 79 waiting for materials.
- Stop investing in a disc once the character is benched.
- Do not level a support's disc past the point where its passive activates.
Which signature Arc Discs matter?
| Character | Signature | Priority | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blackbird | Sin and Punishment | 1 | Best slot; Heart-Eating Blade second, Good Dog Goes Everywhere third |
| Elyms | Silent Color Bell | 2 | v1.5 first half; build only if you commit to her |
| Exe | Dotted Horizon | 2 | v1.5 second half; high-skill character |
| Oneiroi | Unnamed in corpus | 1 | Her 15% team damage buff is tied to the signature |
Blackbird's order is explicit in the corpus: Sin and Punishment > Heart-Eating Blade > Good Dog Goes Everywhere. For Oneiroi, the signature is the source of the 15% team damage buff, which makes it a support investment rather than a damage upgrade.
Building a signature for a character you do not field. Arc Discs are character-bound, so a benched signature is dead inventory.
How does the Console work?
A Console is the five-piece gear system: one Cartridge and four Drive Blocks. The Cartridge decides the set and the main stat; the four blocks fill the remaining slots and must fit the block layout. Think of it as a small inventory puzzle, not four independent trinkets.
| Piece | Count | Carries | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cartridge | 1 | Main stat, four substats, 2-piece and 4-piece set identity | Rabbit Hole |
| Drive Block | 4 | Substats and set completion | Rabbit Hole |
| Types | I, II, III, IV | Shape/slot family | Rabbit Hole |
Console is the community's English search term; the corpus records no confirmed official English UI string. Use it to search, but do not treat it as an official label.
How do the 2-piece and 4-piece sets work?
Two pieces of the same set activate the first bonus; four pieces activate the second. Because the Cartridge carries the set identity, the usual build is one set Cartridge plus enough matching Drive Blocks to reach the threshold.
- 2-piece: the easier threshold; use it while you farm the fourth matching block.
- 4-piece: the full set; this is the endgame target.
- Off-set blocks are fine if their substats beat the set bonus, but only before the 4-piece is complete.
- Do not sacrifice the 4-piece for one perfect off-set block unless you have run the damage comparison.
What stats should you chase?
On a damage dealer, crit value comes first: crit damage and crit rate are roughly equal in value, then all-damage, then ATK%, then Ring Fusion strength. On a support, prioritize the stat the passive scales with, then survivability.
| Role | Stat priority | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Crit damage ≈ crit rate > all-damage > ATK% > Ring Fusion strength | Multiplicative stats beat flat attack |
| Sub-DPS | Crit value > all-damage > ATK% | Same logic, lower field time |
| Support | Kit stat > energy > survival | The passive must activate |
| Tank | Survival > kit stat | Staying alive is the job |
Blackbird uses the Psyche set, Demon Blood: Curse. Elyms uses Lost Radiance in v1.5; the corpus does not publish a full stat priority for her, so farm crit-value pieces and hold them until live testing settles the order.
Where do you farm gear?
Arc Disc materials come from the ascension domain; Console pieces come from Rabbit Hole. Rabbit Hole opens properly after level 30 and becomes the main stamina sink at level 50. Level 40 guarantees one gold, level 45 gives about a 71% double-gold chance at 200 gold carrot coins per run, and level 50 is expected to give fixed double gold [verify].
Do not farm Rabbit Hole at level 20 hoping for a lucky drop. The early pieces are replaced, and the stamina is better spent on Anomaly Hunt. The full route is on the stamina page, and the material sources are on the materials page.
How do you evaluate a new Console piece?
- Check the set identity first; a perfect block on the wrong set is inventory clutter.
- Check the main stat on the Cartridge before upgrading it.
- Count the useful substats; two good rolls beat four mediocre ones.
- Compare against the piece you are wearing, not against a hypothetical perfect roll.
- Lock the piece if it has crit value and the right set; do not reroll it away.
If you are still choosing a carry, the character database lists who scales best with crit. If you are choosing a standard unit, start with the standard selector guide.
FAQ
Can I share an Arc Disc between characters?
No. Arc Discs are character-specific; a disc built for one unit cannot be equipped by another.
How many pieces are in a Console?
Five: one Cartridge and four Drive Blocks.
What is the maximum Arc Disc level?
Level 80, with six ascensions along the way. Every rank, including S, caps at the same level.
Which Blackbird gear should I build first?
Start with the signature disc Sin and Punishment, then the Demon Blood: Curse Console set with crit damage and crit rate as the top substats.
Is Console the official English name?
No confirmed official string exists. The corpus records Console as community usage, so treat it as a search term rather than an official label.
